To access the Nodegrid device for the first time either connect the device to the Web UI using a browser or connect to the serial console port (using the console cable).
Default IP - No DHCP
Your Nodegrid NSR will respond over the network at 192.168.160.10 (ETH0) and 192.168.161.10 (ETH1) if your DHCP server fails or is unavailable.
Default IP - with DHCP
To check your current IP address, connect to the Nodegrid Serial Console Plus console port and hit Enter at the login prompt until you see the IP address of the ETH0 interface.
To identify the current IP address of the Nodegrid device:
- Using the RJ-45 console adaptor, connect a terminal or workstation to the serial console port on the NSR.
- Log into the device as admin and press Enter.
- Type the following command.

To change the Nodegrid password by connecting the device to the serial console port:
- Using the ZPE’s RJ-45 console adaptor, connect a terminal or workstation to the serial console port on the Nodegrid Serial Console Plus. The Nodegrid device will be configured using a terminal or terminal emulator with session settings of 115200, 8, N, and 1, with no flow control. Alternatively, you can use the HDMI port.
- Connect the power cables to the appliance. Turn on the power switches.
- Log in to Nodegrid with the credentials admin/admin.
- Change the admin password to the newly created password.
To change the Nodegrid password in the WebUI for the first time via Network:
- Open a web browser (HTTP/S) and navigate to https://<IP address> in the address field. Or start an SSH session to your Nodegrid device IP address.
- Log in to the Nodegrid Web UI using the default username and password admin/admin credentials.
- Click admin@nodegrid in the upper right corner of your screen and click Change Password to change your Nodegrid password.
