Unbox the Device

The Nodegrid Serial Console Plus device has two power variants: AC and DC. The following documents provide the list of accessories delivered in the box for these two variants:

All Nodegrid Serial Console Plus devices are shipped by default with the Out-of-Band profile unless it was specifically ordered with the Gateway profile. The default profile can be changed at any time. For more details, refer to the section Network Connectivity.

Insert SIM Cards

To insert SIM cards in the Nodegrid Serial Console Plus device, follow this procedure: 

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.

  2. Open the Nodegrid box. Insert SIM cards into SIM Slot 1 and SIM Slot 2.

  3. Replace the cover with the provided thumbscrews.

Connect the Nodegrid Device

Connect the Nodegrid device to an existing router. Connect the management interfaces via Dual SFP+ or dual Ethernet ports or console connection. After the devices are connected, the device can be powered on.

  1. Connect ETH0 to an existing router or firewall. The device gets an IP address via DHCP and is accessible via that IP address on the local network.

  2. Connect any IP-based management interface to one of the available network ports (Dual SFP+ and dual Ethernet ports).

  3. Connect any console management connection to any serial ports.

  4. (Optional) Connect the 4/5G antennas to the unit.
