Support destinations are local Syslog destination or remote IPv4 and IPv6 destination.
Configure Syslog Settings
- Go to Auditing :: Destinations :: Syslog.
- Select System Console checkbox to forward syslog entries to the main serial console.
- Select Admin Session checkbox to forward syslog entries to the admin user's CLI session.
- Select IPv4 Remote Servercheckbox to forward syslog entries to a remote syslog server using IPv4.
- Enter IPv4 Address or Hostname (comma-separated list) of the remote syslog server.
- (Optional) Enter Source IPv4 Address to select the source IP address (and thus indirectly the network interface) that will be used to connect to the remote Syslog server. If no source IP address is configured for the Syslog, Nodegrid will use its internal routing table to route the Syslog packets. If a source IP address not present in any network connection is entered, Syslog won’t work. It will start working properly if any connection acquires the given IP address (i.e. through DHCP or static configuration).
- Select IPv6 Remote Server checkbox to forward syslog entries to a remote syslog server using IPv6.
- Enter IPv6 Address or Hostname (comma-separated list) of the remote syslog server.
- (Optional) Enter Source IPv6 Address to select the source IP address (and thus indirectly the network interface) that will be used to connect to the remote Syslog server.
